(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) - Pat Burrell hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eleventh inning as the San Francisco Giants edged the Chicago Cubs 4-3.
Rookie Buster Posey added an RBI double for the Giants, who maintain a one-game lead over St. Louis and Philadelphia in the race for the National League wild card.
Alfonso Soriano hit an RBI double with Marlon Byrd and Tyler Colvin collecting run-scoring singles for Chicago as the Cubs dropped their third game in a row.
Carlos Zambrano made his first start for Chicago since late June.
Zambrano gave up two runs in his five innings of work, tying a career high by walking seven batters.
