(PITTSBURGH, PA) - The St. Louis Cardinals lost another game in the standings after falling to the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2.
Neil Walker put the Pirates up for good in the third when he tripled with the bases loaded to give Pittsburgh a 3-0 lead.
Garrett Jones would add a solo homer as Daniel McCutchen pitched six shutout innings, allowing three hits to improve to 2-5.
Felipe Lopez hit a solo homer for the Cardinals who dropped two of three to the Pirates in the series and fall three and-a-half games behind Cincinnati in the NL Central.
