(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Veteran Izod IndyCar Series driver Ed Carpenter will drive in three of the final four races of the season.
Carpenter, who last raced at Indianapolis in May, will partner with Vision Racing and Panther Racing to field a car for oval races at Chicagoland, Kentucky and Homestead-Miami Speedways.
The arrangement is similar to the one that Carpenter used to finish 17th in the Indianapolis 500.
Vision Racing is owned by Carpenter's stepfather - former Indy Racing League President Tony George.
Vision Racing ceased being a full-time IndyCar Series operation last winter.
