(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago White Sox moved back into a first-place tie with Minnesota thanks to a 6-1 victory over the Twins.
Carlos Quentin got the Sox off to a fast start with a two-run homer off Minnesota starter Glen Perkins in the bottom of the first.
After Alex Rios made it 3-0 with an RBI single in the third, Chicago struck for three runs in the fifth.
That was more than enough for John Danks, who allowed a run on six hits over eight innings to improve to 12-8.
The win snaps a three-game losing streak for the White Sox while the Twins had their three-game winning streak come to an end.
