(DETROIT, MI) - Edwin Jackson’s debut with the Chicago White Sox was a successful one.
Jackson allowed a run over seven-plus innings in the sox' 4-1 win over the detroit Tigers.
Paul Konerko put Chicago on the board with an RBI single in the first inning.
Carlos Quentin hit a two-run home run in the fourth and Konerko capped the White Sox' scoring with a solo shot in the sixth.
Brandon Inge drove in the lone Detroit run with a single in the eighth.
With the win, Jackson improves to 7-10. Tigers starter Armando Galarraga took the loss to drop to 3-4.
