(WASHINGTON, DC) - Rookie Casey Coleman picked up his first major league win as the Chicago Cubs beat the Washington Nationals 9-1.
Coleman allowed a run on three hits over six and-a-third innings of work to make Mike Quade a winner in his first game as Cubs manager.
Blake DeWitt hit a solo home run and drove in two with Alfonso Soriano and Tyler Colvin also driving in two runs apiece.
Coleman added an RBI single as he evens his record at 1-1.
Ivan Rodriguez drove in the lone Washington run with an RBI groundout in the seventh.
