(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - Jim Thome came back to haunt his old team, hitting a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the tenth to give the Minnesota Twins a 7-6 victory over the Chicago White Sox.
Alexei Ramirez, who tied the game with a solo homer in the ninth, gave the Sox a 6-5 lead in the tenth with an RBI single.
Matt Thornton came in to close the game out for Chicago in the tenth, but allowed a single to Delmon Young and then the mammoth game-winning homer to Thome.
The Twins have won five games in a row and extend their lead over Chicago to four games.
The White Sox have dropped three-straight games.
