(DETROIT, MI) - Mark Kotsay’s two-run triple in the top of the eleventh inning was the difference as the Chicago White Sox edged the Detroit Tigers 6-4.
Kotsay had hit a two-run homer in the ninth to give Chicago a 4-1 lead, but Ryan Raburn tied the game with a three-run shot off Sox closer Bobby Jenks with two out.
Neither starter figured in the decision.
Freddy Garcia pitched into the seventh for Chicago, allowing a run on five hits while Max Scherzer went seven innings for Detroit, allowing two runs on eight hits.
