(HOUSTON, TX) - The Houston Astros completed a three-game series sweep of St. Louis, knocking off the struggling Cardinals 5-2 in Houston.
Matt Holliday gave the Redbirds an early 2-0 lead with his 24th home run of the year in the top of the first inning.
The Astros took the lead for good in the fifth with Michael Bourn hitting a sacrifice fly and Hunter Pence following with a three-run home run.
Nelson Figueroa allowed two runs in his five innings of work to get the win, moving to 4-2.
Jeff Suppan took the loss for the Cardinals, dropping to 1-7.
