(MILWAUKEE, WI) - Ryan Braun did most of the destruction and Chris Capuano backed it up with seven solid innings as the Milwaukee Brewers easily handled the St. Louis Cardinals 8-1.
Albert Pujols gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead in the first when he nailed a Capuano pitch for his 36th home run of the season.
The Brewers took the lead for good in the third when Braun hit a game-tying RBI single and Casey McGehee followed with a two-run single.
Braun broke the game open in the fourth when he hit a three-run shot off Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia.
Capuano allowed a run on four hits to even his record at 3-3.
Garcia took the loss to drop to 13-7.
