Cardinals Use Big Eighth Inning To Beat Brewers

(MILWAUKEE, WI) - Matt Holliday hit a go-ahead RBI single and Yadier Molina had a grand slam as the St. Louis scored six times in the top of the eighth to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-6.

Holliday's single broke a 2-2 tie.

Pedro Feliz followed with another run-scoring single before Molina capped the big inning with his slam off Milwaukee reliever Todd Coffee.

The Brewers came back with two runs in the eighth and Corey Hart added his second home run of the game, a two-run shot in the ninth, before St. Louis closer Ryan Franklin retired Prince Fielder with a runner on base to end the game.
