(DETROIT, MI) - AJ Pierzynski drove in the winning run with a single in the top of the tenth as the Chicago White Sox got past the Detroit Tigers 5-4 in extra innings.
Pierzynski hit a two-run single earlier in the game and finished with three runs batted in as the Sox win their seventh game in a row.
Don Kelly had a big game for Detroit, hitting an RBI single in the first and a go-ahead two-run homer in the fourth.
Detroit maintained a 4-3 advantage until the eighth when Alexei Ramirez tied the game for Chicago with an RBI single.
The Sox remain three and-a-half games behind Minnesota in the AL Central as the Twins edged Kansas City 5-4.
