(CHICAGO, IL) - In a game that took over four hours, the Detroit Tigers were able to get past the Chicago White Sox in eleven innings with a 9-7 win.
The Tigers scored six runs in the sixth inning, gaining a 7-3 lead. But the Sox rallied back in the ninth, tying the game at 7 a piece.
Gerald Laird and Austin Jackson each drove in runs in the eleventh to secure the win for the Tigers.
Tigers manager Jim Leyland celebrated the win, which was his 3,000th game as a manger in his career.
