(CINCINNATI, OH) - The Cincinnati Reds’ playoff run is over after losing to the Philadelphia Phillies 2-0 in a three-game sweep.
Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels struck out nine in a five-hitter complete game to send his team to the National League Championship Series.
The Reds managed only eleven hits in the series, the fewest for a team in a postseason series.
The Phillies will host either San Francisco or Atlanta in the NLCS opener on Saturday.
