(MARTINSVILLE, VA) - Denny Hamlin won Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race in Martinsville, moving him to within six points of Jimmie Johnson, who is the current leader of the points standings.
It was Hamlin's fourth victory at Martinsville and his third in a row.
The top five of the race was rounded out by Mark Martin, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Johnson.
The top five of the standings with four races left in the chase consists of Johnson, Hamlin (6 points back), Harvick (62 points back) , Busch (172 points back) and Jeff Gordon (203 points back).
