(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Running Back Dominic Rhodes is an Indianapolis Colt once again.
The eight-year NFL veteran began his pro career with the Colts, playing for Indianapolis from 2001 through 2006 and again in 2008.
He spent the 2007 season with the Oakland Raiders.
Rhodes had been playing with the UFL's Florida Tuskers this season.
To make room for Rhodes, the Colts placed cornerback Jarraud Powers on season-ending injured reserve.
Powers underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his right forearm on Tuesday.
Powers was injured in Sunday's 38-35 overtime loss to Dallas.
The Colts face the Tennessee Titans Thursday in Nashville.
