(CHARLOTTE, NC) - Larry Brown is out as head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats.
Bobcats owner Michael Jordan says in a release that the decision for the 70-year-old Brown to step down was mutual.
The Bobcats are off to a 9-19 start and have lost their last four games.
Former Charlotte Hornets coach Paul Silas will take over on an interim basis.
Brown is a Hall of Famer who has coached twelve pro and college teams during his 38-year career.
He was head coach of the Indiana Pacers from 1993 to 1997, leading the Pacers to the NBA Playoffs in his first three seasons with the team.
