(BLACKSBURG, VA) - JaJuan Johnson scored 29 points to lead the Purdue Boilermakers past Virginia Tech 58-55 in overtime of a Big Ten / ACC Callenge game in Blacksburg.
Johnson's basket with nine seconds left in regulation forced overtime and his hoop with 1:27 left in the extra session put the Boilers up for good.
E'twaun Moore added 14 points as Purdue improves to 6-1.
Jeff Allen led Virginia Tech with 14 points and Victor Davila added twelve as the Hokies fall to 4-3.
The Boilermakers return home to face Alabama on Saturday afternoon.
