(WICHITA, KS) - The Evansville Purple Aces’ three-game winning streak is history as they were blown out by the Wichita State Shockers 91-57 in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both schools.
Ben Smith scored a season-high 16 points off the bench to lead Wichita State with JT Durley and Joe Ragland adding twelve points each for the 10-2 Shockers.
Colt Ryan led Evansville with 18 points, but he hit just four of his twelve shots from the field.
Ned Cox added eleven points as the Aces drop to 6-6 on the season.
They host Indiana State on Saturday night.
