(PITTSBURGH, PA) - Notre Dame picked up a rare road win as the 14th-ranked fighting Irish were 56-51 winners at number-two Pittsburgh.
Ben Hansbrough led the Irish with 19 points with Carleton Scott adding 16 as Notre Dame picked up its first victory of the season on an opponent's home court.
Gilbert Brown had 13 points for the Panthers with Brad Wanamaker finishing with twelve as Pitt suffers its first conference loss, falling to 19-2 overall, 7-1 in Big East play.
The Irish improve to 17-4, 6-3 in the Big East.
Notre Dame is off until February 3rd when they face the DePaul Blue Demons in Chicago.
