(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - Purdue’s ten-game winning streak is over.
Blake Hoffarber scored 26 points to lead number-25 Minnesota past the eighth-ranked Boilermakers 70-67 in Minneapolis.
Al Nolen added 13 points and eight assists with Trevor Mbakwe coming off the bench to grab ten rebounds.
Mbakwe lost his spot in the starting lineup following his arrest for violating a restraining order earlier in the week.
JaJuan Johnson led the Boilermakers with 29 points and eleven rebounds, but that was not enough to make up for a horrible offensive night from E'twaun Moore.
Moore went 2-for-14 from the field and finished with just five points.
Lewis Jackson had 15 points as the Boilers fall to 15-2, 4-1 in the Big Ten.
The Golden Gophers move to 13-4, 2-3 in the conference.
Purdue plays a non-conference game at West Virginia on Sunday.
