(DAYTONA, FL) - Kurt Busch and Jeff Burton won Thursday’s Gatorade Duel qualifying races for Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Busch, who won last weekend's Budweiser Shootout, got a push from second-place finisher Regan Smith to earn the third starting position on the provisional grid.
Burton will start fourth as he edged teammate Clint Bowyer at the finish line of the second of the 150-mile qualifiers.
Dale Earnhardt Junior and Pittsboro native Jeff Gordon earned the front row starting spots during last Sunday's time trials.
Earnhardt wrecked his pole-winning car during practice on Wednesday and will start Sunday's "Great American Race" from the back of the field in a backup car.
