Irish Need Overtime To Pick Up Sixth Straight Win

(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Seventh-ranked Notre Dame defeated 15th-ranked Louisville 89-79 in overtime.

Ben Hansbrough led the Irish with 25 points while Tim Abromaitis added 23.

Carleton Scott scored 16 points, nine of which came in overtime.

It was the fifth time in the last nine meetings between the two teams that the game has gone into overtime.

The Irish look to make it seven in a row when they take on South Florida on Saturday.
