(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Butler Bulldogs held off the Flames of Illinois-Chicago 72-65 Monday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Shelvin Mack led the team with 17 points while the Butler bench chipped in 31 thanks to the combination of Khyle Marshall, Ronald Nored, and Zach Hahn.
Matt Howard had 9 points and 5 rebounds before leaving the game right before the end of the first half with a cut to his head from an errant elbow.
Howard's availability for Thursday's game at Hinkle Fieldhouse against Wright State is uncertain.
