(CARBONDALE, IL) - Jake Odum hit all twelve of his free throw attempts en route to a team-high 16 points to lead Indiana State past Southern Illinois 77-72 in Carbondale.
Dwayne Lathan added eleven points as the Sycamores won their third game in a row.
Carlton Fay scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Salukis, who opened the game with a 12-0 run.
Southern Illinois has dropped seven of its last eight games.
Indiana State improves to 15-12, 10-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Trees will step out of league play on Saturday as they face Morehead State in their ESPN Bracketbusters game Saturday afternoon in Terre Haute.
