(GREEN BAY, WI) - Bryquis Perine scored seven of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s nine points in overtime, including the game-winning basket with eleven seconds remaining as the Phoenix edged Valparaiso 81-80 in Green Bay.
Alec Brown led UWGB with 22 points and twelve rebounds with Perine finishing with 20 points as the Phoenix snapped a five-game losing streak.
Brandon Wood scored 24 points for Valpo with Ryan Broekhoff adding 20 as the Crusaders fall to 20-9, 11-5 in Horizon League play.
Valparaiso falls a full game behind first-place Cleveland State and a half-game behind second-place Butler in the conference.
The Crusaders are back home on Thursday night to host the Loyola Ramblers.
