(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue has suspended guard Kelsey Barlow for the remainder of the season.
According to a release from the university, head coach Matt Painter suspended Barlow for conduct detrimental to the team.
The announcement comes as the Boilermakers prepare for their first game in the NCAA Tournament Friday evening against St. Peter's in Chicago.
Barlow, a sophomore out of Indianapolis, averages five points and three rebounds per game.
His absence could mean more playing time for starting guard Lewis Jackson and for freshman Terone Johnson.
