(NEW YORK, NY) - Notre Dame begins play in the Big East Tournament this evening as they take on the Cincinnati Bearcats in a quarterfinal game.
The Fighting Irish are ranked fourth nationally and are the number-two seed in the tournament at 25-5.
The seventh-seeded Bearcats had little trouble with South Florida, pounding the Bulls 87-61 in a second-round game last night.
Notre Dame played Cincinnati once during the regular season, defeating the Bearcats 66-58 January 19th at Purcell Pavilion.
