(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame has suspended wide receiver Michael Floyd indefinitely following Floyd’s arrest on driving while intoxicated charges over the weekend.
Floyd was stopped by campus police near the university's main entrance after running a stop sign early Sunday morning.
A probable cause affidavit filed Monday says Floyd had a blood-alcohol level of .19 percent, more than twice the legal level.
The affidavit also says that Floyd failed three field sobriety tests.
Head Coach Brian Kelly says football needs to take a back seat while Floyd tries to get his life together.
This is the third time Floyd has faced alcohol-related charges since May of 2009.
