(NEW YORK, NY) - Indiana Pacers broadcaster Bob “Slick” Leonard is hospitalized in New York City after suffering a heart attack.
The 78-year-old Leonard fell ill following the Pacers' win over the Knicks on Sunday night and had two stents inserted.
He is listed in good condition and is expected to return to Indianapolis later this week according to a statement released by the team.
Leonard coached the Pacers for twelve seasons, winning three championships in the American Basketball Association and 529 games in both the ABA and the NBA.
He played collegiality at Indiana University and was captain of the Hoosiers' National Championship team in 1953.
