(HOUSTON, TX) - The Connecticut Huskies are Champions of Men’s College Basketball after defeating the Butler Bulldogs 53-41 in the NCAA Tournament Championship game.
Shelvin Mack hit a three-pointer at the horn to give Butler a 22-19 lead at intermission, but following a Chase Stigall three to start the second half, Butler went stone cold, missing 21 of their next 22 shots from the field.
By that time, Uconn had built a 13-point lead.
Kemba walker led the Huskies with 16 points and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.
Jeremy Lamb added twelve points and Alex Oriakhi finished with eleven points and eleven rebounds as Connecticut finishes at 32-9.
Mack led the Bulldogs with 13 points with Stigall scoring nine as Butler wraps up their season at 28-10.
