(NEW YORK, NY) - Bartolo Colon supplied the pitching and Robinson Cano supplied the offense as the New York Yankees defeated the Chicago White Sox 3-1.

Cano hit a three-run home run off White Sox starter Mark Buehrle in the bottom of the first inning to account for all of New York's runs.

Colon went eight innings, allowing a run on seven hits to get the win and improve to 2-1 on the season.

Adam Dunn drove home the lone Chicago run with an RBI single in the sixth.

Buehrle allowed three runs on six hits in his seven innings of work to fall to 1-3.
