(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Fever selected Stanford guard Jeanette Pohlen with the ninth overall pick in Monday’s WNBA draft.
Pohlen, the Pac-Ten player of the year for 2010-11, averaged 16 points and five assists per game as a senior.
She is a 38-percent shooter from three point range for her college career, hitting 43 percent of her shots from beyond the arc this past season.
In the third round, the Fever drafted Indiana University guard Jori Davis.
A pair of Indianapolis prep products were taken in the first round as North Central's Amber Harris was taken fourth overall by Minnesota and Brebeuf Jesuit's Ta'Shia Phillips went with the number-eight selection to Atlanta.
Both Harris and Phillips are former Indiana Miss Basketballs and both attended Xavier University.
