(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Danielle Adams scored 22 of her game-high 30 points in the second half as Texas A&M knocked off Notre Dame 76-70 in the championship game of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.
Tyra White added 18 points as the Aggies won their first women's basketball championship.
Notre Dame was led by Skylar Diggins' 23 points with Devereaux Peters scoring 21 points and grabbing eleven rebounds and Natalie Novosel finishing with 14 points as the Fighting Irish fell short in their quest to win the national championship for the first time in ten years.
Texas A&M finishes its season at 33-5 while the Irish fall to 31-8.
