(HOUSTON, TX) - Brett Myers threw seven solid innings and Hunter Pence drove in four runs as the Houston Astros blasted the Chicago Cubs 11-2.
Myers allowed a run on eight hits to improve to 1-0.
Cubs starter James Russell did not make it out of the second inning, allowing four earned runs and seven hits in his inning and two-thirds of work as he falls to 1-1.
Angel Sanchez added a two-run single for the Astros while Tyler Colvin hit a solo homer off Myers for the Cubs.
The teams have split the first two games of the three-game series at Minute Maid Park.
