(CHICAGO, IL) - The Arizona Diamondbacks avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Cubs, defeating Chicago 6-4 at Wrigley Field.
Chris Young drove in a pair of runs and Miguel Montero hit a solo homer in support of Dbacks starter Armando Galarraga.
Galarraga picked up a win in his first National League start, allowing four runs over seven and-a-third innings of work.
Aramis Ramirez hit a two-run homer and Alfonso Soriano added a solo shot for the Cubs.
Chicago Starter Ryan Dempster took the loss to fall to 0-2.
