(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Chorye Spoone threw five shutout innings as the Norfolk Tides blanked the Indianapolis Indians 6-0.
Rhyne Hughes hit a three-run homer, Nolan Reimold had a two-run double and Brandon Snyder added a solo homer as the Tides roughed up Tribe starter Rudy Owens for all six of their runs.
Spoone allowed three hits in his five innings of work to pick up his first win of the season, improving to 1-0.
Owens took the loss to fall to 2-2.
The Indians have taken two of three in the series which wraps up tonight in Indianapolis.
