(TOLEDO, OH) - The Indianapolis Indians split a doubleheader in Toledo, losing to the Mud Hens 6-0 in game one before coming back to win the second game 3-1.
Toledo starter Charlie Furbush fired a one-hitter in the opener, walking none while striking out nine to even his record at 1-1.
In game two, Indianapolis starter Jose Ascanio did not retire a batter, allowing a run on two hits.
The bullpen combination of Tony Watson, Chris Leroux and Tim Wood allowed just one Toledo hit the rest of the way with Leroux picking up the win.
Dusty Brown, Corey Wimberly and Pedro Ciriaco had RBI singles for the Tribe in the second game. The four-game series wraps up tonight in Toledo.
