(ST. PETERSBURG, FL) - The Chicago White Sox snapped their seven-game losing streak with a 9-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Omar Vizquel, Paul Konerko, Carlos Quentin and AJ Pierzynski drove in two runs apiece as the Sox avoided being swept in the four-game series in St. Petersburg.
Gavin Floyd pitched six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits to get the win and improve to 2-1.
Sam Fuld drove in both of the Rays' runs with a single in the fourth.
Tampa Bay starter Jeff Niemann took the loss to fall to 0-3.
