(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago Cubs scored five runs in the second and four more in the seventh as they pounded the New York Mets 11-1.
Starlin Castro capped the second-inning rally with a two-run single and finished with three runs batted in during the game.
Carlos Zambrano came in as a pinch hitter in the seventh and hit a two-run single.
Ryan Dempster allowed a run in his seven innings to improve to 3-4.
Jonathan Niese took the loss for New York, dropping to 3-5 as the Mets have lost three straight games.
