(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Carlos Zambrano threw eight strong innings as the Chicago Cubs brought out the long ball to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1.
Chicago unloaded on former Cub Ted Lilly, hitting three home runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Geovany Soto put the Cubs on the board with a solo shot in the fifth.
Carlos Pena hit his second homer in as many games when he hit a solo homer in the sixth.
Marlon Byrd capped the scoring by hammering a three-run blast off Lilly later in the sixth to cap the Cubs' scoring.
Zambrano allowed a run on five hits to pick up the win, moving to 4-1 on the season.
Lilly took the loss to drop to 2-3.
