(UNDATED) - The Boston Red Sox scored seven runs in the top of the first en route to a 14-2 pounding of the Cleveland Indians.
Dustin Pedroia drove in three runs during the first-inning rally with a two-run homer and an RBI single. Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a three-run home run with Carl Crawford and David Ortiz adding solo blasts. Shelley Duncan drove in Cleveland's runs with a two-run single in the eighth.
Jon Lester threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out seven to improve to 7-and-1.
Indians starter Mitch Talbott lasted three innings, giving up eight runs on twelve hits to fall to 1-and-1.
