(SOUTH BEND, IN) - A not guilty plea was entered for Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd Monday on a driving while intoxicated charge.
Floyd was not present at Monday's hearing.
He was arrested on the morning of March 20th after running a stop sign near the university's main entrance.
Prosecutors say a breathalyzer test showed Floyd had a blood-alcohol level of .19 percent, more than double Indiana's legal limit.
Floyd was suspended by Notre Dame Coach Brian Kelly after his arrest.
Kelly says the suspension will not be lifted until after the judicial and university disciplinary procedures have run their course.
Floyd's attorney says he hopes to have a plea deal in place before the next scheduled hearing on June 7th.
