(OAKLAND, CA) - The Cleveland Indians scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Oakland Athletics 4-1 and extend their winning streak to seven games.
The A's took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on an RBI groundout by Kurt Suzuki.
Cleveland tied the game in the seventh on Matt LaPorta's run-scoring single.
In the top of the ninth, LaPorta and Jack Hannahan hit one-out singles off Oakland closer Brian Fuentes.
Orlando Cabrera drove home the go-ahead run when his single to center scored LaPorta.
After Grady Sizemore was hit by a pitch, Asdrubal Cabrera capped the inning with a two-run single to center.
Fausto Carmona pitched eight innings to get the win, improving to 3-3.
Fuentes took the loss to fall to 1-3.
