(ARLINGTON, TX) - Alexi Ogando fired a five-hit shutout as the Texas Rangers blanked the Chicago White Sox 4-0.
Josh Hamilton put Texas on the board in the first with a solo homer off Sox starter John Danks.
It is the first home run of the season for the reigning American League MVP.
Nelson Cruz hit a two-run shot off Danks in the sixth and Adrian Beltre added a sacrifice fly in the eighth.
That was more than enough for Ogando, who struck out six and walked three in improving to 5-0 on the season.
Danks also went the distance, allowing nine hits as he drops to 0-7.
