(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Greg Dobbs’ sacrifice fly in the eighth inning drove home the go-ahead run as the Florida Marlins got past the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5.
The Redbirds scored twice in the first inning on RBI singles by Lance Berkman and Yadier Molina.
Florida took its first lead when Gaby Sanchez hit a grand slam off Cardinals starter Kyle Lohse in the top of the third.
Berkman gave St. Louis the lead back in the bottom of the third when he hammered a three-run shot off Marlins starter Chris Volstad.
Mike Stanton tied the game with a solo shot off Lohse in the fifth.
That was all of the scoring until the eighth when Stanton led off the inning with a triple off Mitchell Boggs and scored on Dobbs' sac fly.
