(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Geovany Soto hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the top of the ninth as the Chicago Cubs got past the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1.
Starters Ryan Dempster and Chad Billingsley gave up a run apiece in their seven innings of work.
Matt Kemp put LA ahead in the sixth with an RBI single, but the Cubs tied the game on Carlos Pena's first home run of the season as he launched a Billingsley pitch into the right field bullpen.
In the ninth, Soto lifted a flair that bounced between Kemp and Andre Ethier and rolled all the way to the wall allowing Marlon Byrd and Pena to score.
Pinch-hitter Blake Dewitt followed with a single to center to score Soto as the Cubs halt a two-game skid.
