(BOSTON, MA) - The Chicago White Sox halted their three-game losing streak with a 7-3 victory over the Red Sox in Boston.
AJ Pierzynski put Chicago on the board with a two-run single in the top of the first innings.
Adrian Gonzalez pulled the Red Sox to within a run when he hit a solo homer off White Sox starter Jake Peavy in the bottom of the first.
Paul Konerko slammed his eleventh home run of the season in the third, a solo shot off Boston's Jon Lester.
The Red Sox tied the game in the bottom of the third when Dustin Pedroia hit a two-run single.
Chicago took the lead for good by scoring four times in the sixth inning on a two-run double by Alexei Ramirez and a two-run single by Carlos Quentin.
Peavy got the win to improve to 2-0 while Lester took the loss to fall to 7-2.
