(CHICAGO, IL) - Carlos Zambrano threw six strong innings and had an RBI single as the Chicago Cubs beat the New York Mets 9-3.
Carlos Pena hit a two-run homer, Kosuke Fukudome had a solo shot and Alfonso Soriano added a two-run double as the Cubs took two of three in the series.
Zambrano allowed an earned run on six hits to improve to 5-2 while going 3-3 at the plate with an RBI single.
Josh Thole had an RBI single for the Mets.
