(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The Toronto Blue Jays completed a three-game sweep over the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday with a 5-to-nothing shutout at Busch Stadium.
The Cardinals never threatened Ricky Romero, who was superb in a four-hit shutout of the struggling red birds. The Blue Jays finished the second inning with a 1-to-nothing lead and added four insurance runs in the sixth inning. Kyle McClellan was pulled in the sixth after being tagged for five-runs. The Cardinals have lost 12 of their last 15 games and have fallen three-games behind the Milwaukee Brewers for first place in the NL Central.
